Vanarama National League club Woking have announced that 19-year-old midfielder Charlie Carter has signed contractual forms for the forthcoming season.

Carter has come through the ranks of the Woking Academy system, and manager Garry Hill is delighted with his progress during the past year: “Charlie thoroughly deserves this opportunity, he has shown he has the quality and maturity beyond his years to play a major part in the future of this football club.’’

Head of community Jane Spong said: “I am delighted Charlie has been given a first-team contract, it is thoroughly deserved, he has been a model apprentice this past year, and this sends out a message to all academy players that if you work hard and remain patient, the rewards will come”.
