The National League is delighted to announce the appointment of Caroline Barker as an Independent Non-Executive Director.
An award-winning Broadcaster for the BBC and commercial media, Caroline has more than 15 years experience in the broadcast industry. She has been involved at National League South side Chelmsford City in the past, and with extensive knowledge of the game, she is determined to create sustainability and diversity across non-league football.
A wealth of live Radio and TV presenting experience at some of the world’s major events, including the Olympics, the Super Bowl and the World Cup Final, Caroline has recently fronted BBC Radio's coverage of the Women's Euros in the Netherlands and is a founder and host of the long-running Non-League Football Show.
Caroline Barker commented, "With the new season just kicking off, I can't wait to join the Board. I'm looking forward to bringing some of my media background and work with fans groups to the table and help build on some of the great work already established in media partnerships and relationships throughout football."
The National League Chairman, Brian Barwick, commented, "We are delighted to have Caroline on board. She will provide fresh-thinking in this new independent role and lend her expertise to the strategic development of The National League."
