Cards March On In Top Of The Table Clash

Woking claimed their fifth win in six games thanks to Regan Charles-Cook's stunning second half strike against Dagenham and Redbridge.

It was one of the games of the day in the National League as third-placed Woking took on fourth-placed Dagenham at the Laithwaite Community Stadium.

And the intriguing match-up was settled by Charles-Cook's screamer in front of a crowd of over 2500.

"It was an absolute battling performance again, in a first-half where we didn't play particularly well and it took us about 30 minutes to get going.

"We didn't pass the ball, we didn't get tight enough, we didn't press the opposition and they were the better team then.

"We had a few words at half-time to try and put it right. We said if we could hang in the game and keep a clean sheet, we always feel we have that quality in our team.

"You could see that from Regan's goal."
