The Cards saw-off Solihull Moors on Tuesday night to claim their fifth win of the season, that leaves them in 14th but only four points adrift of tomorrow's opponents.
Limbrick was appointed Woking boss in May, his first role as manager having previously been an academy coach at Southampton and West Ham.
By no means was the 34-year-old's first managerial job going to be an easy one, attempting to fill the shoes of popular former manager Garry Hill, who spent six and a half years at the club.
But after building a young squad over the summer, Limbrick has guided his men to five wins and five losses from a difficult run of fixtures, including some long away trips, during August.
Looking back on his first month and two weeks as a National League manager, Limbrick said: "We would have liked to have drawn more of the games that we've lost, it's an obvious statement but we need to be harder to beat and not concede as many.
"I always fancy us at home against anyone with the attacking players we've got. It's a positive start but only a start, I do feel there's more to come.
"The fans have seen four wins in five at home which is great for them, we want to make it hard to beat us there and I think we've played our best football at home.
"There's no doubt it's a tough league, everybody kept telling me that before I started! The differentiation in teams and styles is tough, every week there's something new. It's about adapting to that but still trying to play the way we want to. I think that's been the major challenge for us so far."
Limbrick added: "I've got a lot of coaching experience at various levels so I think coming here is good to put it into practice. There's obviously a lot more pressure on to get three more points to get three points but I've really enjoyed that and relished the challenge - that's what it's about.
"I took the job because I knew it would be hard. We've been able to recruit players with good character who want to learn and develop, I like to think they make my job a little bit easier."
And on Saturday's big game against Sutton, Limbrick said: "They've done really well, they've had a great start. They're an experienced side, one that knows how to win and they've shown that by their results and the teams they've beaten.
"We need to make sure we defend properly, pass the ball like we did in patches on Tuesday and take out chances when they come."
