Cards Earn Replay Against League One Bury

By David Richardson

Woking recovered from conceding after 42 seconds to draw with League One's Bury but manager Anthony Limbrick was left with mixed feelings at full-time.

The Cards got off to the worst possible start in front of over 1800 at the Laithwaite Community Stadium when Joey Jones headed against his own crossbar and Michael Smith was left to tap the rebound into an empty net.

But Woking responded well and dominated the first-half with Jamie Philpott equalising with a deft header in the 25th minute.

Both sides had chances but they'll have to do it all over again at Gigg Lane on November 14th.

"It was a strange one in the dressing room afterwards because we were partly disappointed that we didn't win," said boss Limbrick. "I thought we had probably enough chances to.

"However, when you're playing against a League One side and you concede in the first 45 seconds, you have to be happy with how we came back into the game.

"The goal didn't seem to phase us. We got on the ball and started to pass it. WE deserved the equaliser. You do fear the worst when a goal goes in that quick. It wasn't the case and we kept a clean sheet for the rest of the game.

"We'll go up there with confidence."
