Defeat at Chesterfield on Tuesday night coupled with Ebbsfleet United’s win at Maidenhead United saw the Cards drop into the bottom four for the first time this season.
Three defeats in a row has left the club fighting for their lives and so far, they’ve not had the new manager bounce supporters had hoped for.
But Doyle - who replaced Darren Sarll just over a month ago - was satisfied with the level of performance at Chesterfield.
He believes his players have the stomach for the fight and can jump out of the danger zone as quickly as they entered it.
“They’ve had 21 wins and one draw at home, we knew what we were up against,” he said. “We knew it was into the lion’s den after a few weeks off.
“I think we thoroughly deserved a draw, at least. In recent matches maybe we haven’t put in performances worthy of the fans but I think we did here.
“It was a good performance but it’s now very important we replicate that week in, week out.”
Woking have won only one league game since October and have failed to score in six of their last nine matches.
They face a difficult away game at Oldham next before two crucial home games with Boreham Wood and Hartlepool United, a game live on TNT Sports.
“If we play like that, we’re going to win more matches than we lose, that’s for sure,” Doyle added to the club’s media team.
“I think we need to take responsibly a little bit more in certain areas. We didn’t give up a lot of chances but the biggest disappointment in the first-half was conceding from a set-piece.
“We were organised and we gave up a lot of the ball but to concede from a set-piece is disappointing. If teams like this cut through you and score you can accept that but set-pieces is a no from us.”
