Carden Goes at Southport

By Steve Whitney

Paul Carden has left Vanarama National League club Southport by mutual consent.

Carden was appointed as Port boss in January 2015 following the departure of Gary Brabin.

He successfully kept the club in the top flight of non-League football with some crucial wins in the final few months of the 2014/15 season.

The Southport Board have thanked him for all his professionalism, efforts and dedication to the job and have wished him well in his future football career.

Results this season just have not been achieved, despite Carden working very hard putting together a talented squad of players.
