It’s not been the season anyone expected from the Vanarama National League South club.
Bottom of the table, they have yet to secure three points in any league fixture but the FA Trophy last week provided some solace for the Sussex club.
On Saturday they take on the team they defeated in the FA Trophy - and a repeat performance is the order from the boss.
It’s a trip to Chippenham Town this weekend and King will be demanding more of the same from his side now they have shown him what they can do.
“We feel every week that things are improving,” he said. “I had to completely change the squad when I came in and it’s so difficult to do that mid-season.
“We are seeing players settle into their roles now and with a bit of luck we will see that first league win soon.
“The situation hasn’t changed. There are still so many points to play for and nobody is throwing in the towel.
“That first league win will come, and when it does I think it we’ll see things start to turn.”
