Can Burman's Darts Find The Target Again On Saturday?

If Dartford want to win promotion, they have to be more streetwise and make better decisions.

That is according to Tony Burman, the club's manager at least, who was frustrated as they lost their unbeaten run on Bank Holiday Monday.

That's because a 1-0 loss at home to East Thurrock thanks to Sam Higgins' goal meant the manager has to contemplate defeat for the first time in 2017/18.

Burman wanted to stay undefeated for as long as possible at the Darts, who sit 6 in the Vanarama National League South table, next visit Hampton.

The game tomorrow will signify to Burman if the East Thurrock loss was just a blip or if there is more to it than that.

Burman said: "Saturday will answer a few questions one way or another and it's a big game for us in our attempts to bounce back.

"After the match in the press I used the words lack of intelligence, we need to be more wise and more clever for sure.

"We looked what we were, a bit tired but now the key is putting that bad day out of our minds and focus on Hampton, who managed to beat Welling on Monday."

Burman added: "We need to manage games a little better sometimes but overall it's been a decent start.

"We know how tough this league is but it would be nice to get a reaction from the players to our first defeat.

"It is a long season, that's for sure, and nothing is ever won or lost in August or September but we want to keep pace so we have got to go across London in a positive frame of mind."
