Wealdstone secured a spot in the top seven on a frantic and emotional final day.
Their 2-1 victory over Hemel Hempstead and results elsewhere mean they now go to Bath City on Wednesday night for the division’s only Eliminator.
It was an emotional afternoon according to Stones boss as Billericay, St Albans, Dartford and Slough Town all missed out.
But Wealdstone can point to what happened last season and use that as inspiration.
Braintree Town secured their place on the last day and then went on to win three away games and take their place in the National League.
Wilkinson’s side will have to do the same and he told us he never doubted his players for a minute.
He said: “No emotion can really explain how I feel after Saturday.
“One minute you are in, the next you’re out and then you are back in again. It’s crazy!
“Five teams were playing for the last spot on the final day and it was a nerve-wracking experience.
“But it’s all about my management team, the players and the fans.
“They deserve all the credit - they work extremely hard for me let’s just go and see what we can do now.
“I’m a very proud manager again and who knows what’s around the corner. Play-offs do funny things as we all know!”
