Cameras Roll! Fylde & Harrogate Ready For BT Sport Clash

It’s the kind of start to a season that gives you belief early on. Unbeaten and sitting proudly in second, AFC Fylde are in form and they won’t want it to end there, writes Tom Scott.

Dave Challinor’s men have won all three of their home games so far this season and will be looking to put on another show when the BT Sport cameras pitch up at Mill Farm for Bank Holiday Monday’s showpiece game.

Before the season started, Challinor spoke of his desire to make their home ground a fortress and their start to the season suggests his players have listened to every word he’s said.

“We did well here last season,” he told the Blackpool Gazette. “Our home record was the third-best, up there with Macclesfield and Tranmere.

“Our home record hopefully will continue but winning away is also massively important.”

“We’ve started well, and the pleasing thing is that there’s plenty to come. It’s still a new group but we’re looking solid defensively.”

Keeping hold of star striker Danny Rowe is a huge plus, along with strong additions in the form of Ryan Croasdale, Danny Philliskirk and Jim Kellerman.

And after finishing seventh last campaign and losing to eventual finalists Boreham Wood, the Coasters will be itching to go one better – and who would bet against them?

Where next?

Edinburgh Delighted With Another Orient Shutout Win Orient boss Justin Edinburgh said he was pleased with the fine defensive work his side showed after their 3-0 win against Dover Athletic, writes Tom Scott.
Simon's Harrogate Are Already Weaving Their Magic Unbeaten, and apparently totally unfazed. Harrogate Town are one of the stories of the new National League season so far.
