Busy Lambs Bring In Young Ram & Promote Rickards

Busy Tamworth, who snapped up striker Akwasi Asante earlier on Friday, have also added Kyron Stabana from SkyBet Championship side Derby County on a month`s loan.

Derby academy product Stabana is equally as comfortable in full-back or central midfield positions and has National League North experience via a short spell at Boston United earlier in the season and has also represented England at under-17 level.

He goes straight into the squad for today's fixture with Alfreton Town.

The Lambs also announced the Scott Rickards had re-joined the club as assistant-manager.

Rickards made over 100 appearances during two spells with Tamworth and has already been working at the club this season as an academy coach.

Interim boss Mike Fowler has moved Rickards up to first-team duties, which he will combine with his existing full-time youth development role at Mansfield Town.

On Rickards, Fowler told the club`s official website: "He is really enthusiastic and will definitely strengthen us with his ideas. He will bring a freshness into the group and, of course, fans have an affinity with him because he's an ex-player and local lad. He's got a good history with the club, a good skill set and contacts at local clubs both above and below us".
