Busy January Continues With More Big Deals Done

By Tom Scott

It was busy again last week as even more big National League deals were signed.

January may only be just over a week old but that hasn't stopped clubs across the National League getting busy with new signings.

Lee Ndlovu is back in the National League - the former Boreham Wood and Brackley Town striker pens a deal with promotion-chasing Barnet.

Ndlovu - who has seven National League South goals to his name this season - can bring two key attributes according to Bees boss Dean Brennan.

He said: "He’s an exciting player, his attributes suit what we are looking for. We’ve worked really hard to get the deal done so I thank everyone involved for that.

"He will bring us power and pace in the top line, and I think in our team with the chances we create he will score lots of goals."

Boston United have strengthen their midfield with the loan signing of Oisin Gallagher.

The Lincoln City midfielder had been on loan at National League North Peterborough Sports but makes the step up after an impressive first half of the season.

Tony Weston also extends his stay at the Pilgrims until the end of the season.

Jordan Rossiter has bolstered Micky Mellon's Oldham Athletic squad.

The Latics face a number of their fellow promotion-hunting sides in the coming weeks and have borrowed the midfielder from EFL side Shrewsbury Town.

Yeovil Town added a familiar face last week - Ciaran McGuckin rejoins the Glovers on a loan deal from Rotherham United for the remainder of the season.

Mark Cooper also added former Chelsea and Bristol City midfielder Jacob Maddox.

York City have let Darragh O'Connor go out on loan to Scottish Championship leaders Falkirk.

Henry Sandat is in at Sutton United - the form Hull City and Southend United striker spent the first-half of the season at Wealdstone.

Sutton have also signed former York City and Lincoln City midfielder Alex Woodyard.

Southend United have been dealt a double blow as both Bim Pepple and Zach Jeacock have been recalled from their loans at Roots Hall by Luton Town and Lincoln City respectively.

Spennymoor Town have announced the capture of midfielder Mitch Hancox following his departure from fellow National League North side Chester.

Gateshead have been hampered with outgoings of late but they've bagged the signing of midfielder Max Sheaf following his release from Ross County.

Young striker John Shamalo joins Eastbourne Borough on loan from Barrow.
