Burrell`s Back at Harrogate

Vanarama National League North club Harrogate Town have announced....

....the signing of Warren Burrell from Evo-Stik Northern Premier League Premier Division side Buxton.

Burrell signed for the Bucks in the summer of 2015 following a short period at Leek Town.

He is a graduate of the Mansfield Town`s youth academy, and made his first-team debut in the last game of the 2007/08 season against Dagenham & Redbridge, coming on as a substitute.

He was also captain of Mansfield's youth team, and signed a professional contract with the club in June 2008.

He moved to Harrogate in 2009 before making his name in non-League football at Sheffield FC, where he became captain before having short spells at Worksop Town and Handsworth Parramore before a further stint at Sheffield, ending up at Leek in the final throws of last season.

Burrell will be available for selection this evening against Stalybridge Celtic.

Speaking about the new signing, Harrogate boss Simon Weaver said: "We are delighted to have Warren on board. Warren was with me as a very young player in my first season at Harrogate and showed great potential at the time. He has since matured as a player and fits the bill with his athletic ability and attitude. We are looking forward to his immediate involvement."

Weaver added: "It will be tough game at Stalybridge tonight. Liam Watson's teams are always physical and highly motivated. We will have to compete and be strong if we want to continue our good form away from home."
