A goal with 12 minutes to go helped ensure Dartford made it nine wins out of their last ten games, writes Tom Feaheny.
"It is better late than never, we played well, we were patient and mentally we were strong," Burman told the club's website.
"Not panicking was key, something you can go too early to try and get the win and leave yourself open, we didn't do that.
"We just had to let it happen, we know we have players who can score goals, the three points was what mattered."
With the title race still at a knife-edge between Dartford and Havant & Waterlooville, Burman had this to say.
"We have a good feeling, we are winning games, now we go to our most important game on Saturday, the focus has to be just on us."
