Burdett Loaned to Harrogate Until January

Harrogate Town have completed the loan signing of forward Noel Burdett from SkyBet League One side Scunthorpe United.

Burdett will join up with Simon Weaver’s squad until 1st January 2018, providing another attacking option in the absence of Simon Ainge and Dominic Knowles.

The 19-year-old has been at The Irons since the age of 9 and has been versatile enough to feature as a striker and midfielder for the League One club, before signing a professional contract in the summer of 2016.

Scunthorpe-born Burdett has been involved with The Irons’ development team regularly over the last two seasons and has been on the first-team bench on occasions.

Burdett enjoyed a prolific loan spell at Evo-Stik League South side Frickley Athletic towards the end of 2016 where he notched 9 goals in thirteen appearances.

The talented attacker then made a loan move to National League North outfit Gainsborough Trinity until February 2017 and will be looking to once again link up with Jordan Thewlis, only this time in a Town shirt.
