Buildbase FA Trophy Second Round Draw…..

By Steve Whitney

Ties to be played on Saturday, 13th January 2018.

The draw for the Second Round of the Buildbase FA Trophy produced several fascinating ties, with Vanarama National league South strugglers Bognor Regis Town pulling out the plumb with a home game against National League giants Leyton Orient.

It`s the O`s first season in the competition, and they would certainly be well supported at Wembley should they make it through to the final in May.

Another well-supported club, Evo-Stik League South Premier outfit Hereford FC, will take plenty of fans to Grosvenor Vale when the Bulls travel to National League South side Wealdstone, winners of the competition back in 1985.

National league side Dover Athletic have an indifferent record in the Trophy overall, but will fancy their chances of progressing when they host Evo-Stik League Premier Marine AFC, who are currently fourth-bottom of the table.

However, the Whites will be wary of the Mariners as they knocked out National League North promotion-chasers Chorley away from home on Saturday.

There are still a number or replays to sort out this week, but the draw paired only one all-National League tie between the winners of the FA Halifax Town and Macclesfield Town game at home to Maidenhead United.

Ebbsfleet United v Altrincham/Warrington Town
