McAtee joined Shrewsbury’s scholarship programme from Burnley in 2015.
Capable of playing out wide, in the number 10, or as a number nine, McAtee has natural ability on the ball as well as an eye for goal.
He made his Shrews debut as a late substitute against Oxford United on the final day of the 2016/17 season.
He has spent the first-half of this season on loan with Evo-Stik League Premier outfit Halesowen Town, scoring 6 goals.
