Bucks' Futures On The Line In Battle Against The Drop

Rob Edwards isn’t playing down the importance of AFC Telford United’s relegation battle - he says everybody at the club is fighting for their future.

The Bucks could climb out of the National League North’s bottom three with victory over Spennymoor Town tonight.

It’s the start of a vitally important week for Telford as they face three home games against Spennymoor, Chorley and Leamington.

Four of their last five games are away from home and Edwards says his players are aware of the magnitude of their remaining fixtures.

“We are all fighting for our futures now, all of us," Edwards told the Shropshire Star.

"That's how serious it is. Players are fighting for future contracts, whether that is with us or at another club.

"It's the same for the Spennymoor players too, they're desperate to prove themselves.

"Every time you step out onto the pitch you are being scrutinised, analysed by the fans and media – and people from other clubs, managers and scouts.

"The players know and us as staff know just how important all of our games are between now and the end of the season."
