BT Cameras Roll! Ravens Need To Stop The Rot While Town Are Just Getting Started!

The BT Sport cameras are rolling into town for what should be a blockbuster game in North Yorkshire, as title hopefuls Harrogate Town entertain Bromley.

The two sides couldn’t be much further apart in the form table ahead of the teatime meeting at The CNG Stadium this weekend.

Harrogate have had the Midas touch of late, winning all but two of their 11 games since the turn of the year while Bromley have taken just four points in the same period.

Perhaps Simon Weaver’s side made a New Year’s resolution to be an EFL outfit this time next year – only Wrexham have stopped them scoring since the turn of the year, the Dragons also the only side to have left North Yorkshire with three points since way back in August.

“We’ve had some memorable games, some dramatic games but we’ve come through it all the better and the results have gone our way,” Simon Weaver told the club’s YouTube channel.

“It’s been exhausting going through those games, but everyone is buzzing. The lads deserve every credit for finding a way to win. But obviously, you can’t always ride on that crest of emotion.

"It wasn’t faultless and if we can be a bit tighter all over and think our way through the games a bit better then we can be better still.

“I was speaking to Jon Stead and he said it’s been a long time since he’s seen such a strong bond at a club, which means a lot. We’re all part of something moving together.”

It’s almost a year to the day since Jack Muldoon hit an injury-time winner against the Ravens, something he repeated against Chesterfield on Tuesday night.

The ex-Lincoln City striker has been the go-to guy for Town recently with four in his last three outings, impressing his manager along the way.

“We’ve emerged since Christmas,” Weaver said. “We’ve got a proper threat up front and we’ve got experience with Jon Stead.

“But Jack Muldoon has got better and better as a forward player. We’ve got four good wide men too who continually want to drive forward and it’s exciting to watch.

“It’s a strong mentality out there from the players at the minute and they’re in it together. It speaks volumes of the team.”

It’s a different story all together for Bromley boss Neil Smith, however. Winless in their last eight, the Ravens are desperate for a first win in eight.

Michael Cheek could have been the man to turn to earlier in the season, but the summer recruit is mired in a dry spell of late with no goals added to his 13-goal haul since early January.

Neil Smith admits his side have become a cropper to their own finishing recently, something he wants to change straight away.

“We’ve got to start scoring,” he told the club’s YouTube channel. “I’m getting frustrated because we’re doing everything we possibly can.

“Sutton [1-0 defeat] was the best start to a game we’ve had in a long while. The supporters got behind us and created an atmosphere. But we didn’t give them a goal.

“Are we playing bad? No. Are we getting results? No. We’ve just not got that final product. I’d buy a win at the minute. I’d buy a goal.

“I’m not just blaming the strikers. But we’re creating enough chances to have won three games. We can’t keep creating 27 chances and not scoring.”
