FC Halifax are in the play-off mix, although last weekend's defeat to Woking saw them drop from third.
It's a different story for Ebbsfleet, however. Kevin Watson's side lie in the relegation zone, having played a game more than others around them.
Shaymen boss Pete Wild knows his side can't afford complacency at this stage with a pack of hungry sides just over their shoulder looking to pounce.
After their weekend defeat, he had a simple message for his players - be better.
“It's not good enough," he told the Halifax Courier. "We looked like a team that didn’t want to be third in the first-half, and looked like a team that was half-a-yard off.
“I always say, if you’re half-a-yard off you won’t get anything.
“There’s two types of bravery in football, there’s putting your head in where it hurts, and there’s getting on the ball when they’re compact, and in shape, and wanting to move the ball on quickly to create opportunities.
“We didn’t do both. There was nothing in the game, and they win 2-0. Not the greatest of days for us.
"You get what you deserve," Wild added. "I can only tell them what I think, if they don’t implement it, it’s very difficult to change."
Ebbsfleet might well travel to West Yorkshire knowing the Shaymen will be hungry to avenge their recent results.
Pete Wild added: "I’ll go back to the drawing board. One thing about me, I’ll look at me first and see what could we have done better as a team, and I’ll make sure we put it right for next week."
Kevin Watson on the other hand has overseen a healthy revival since late January - taking fourteen points from their last eight games.
Take out thumping defeats to Chesterfield and leaders Barrow and the Fleet have lost just once on the road since early October.
Despite their form, Watson says his side are showing they can win at all costs.
"We’re never going to be – at this moment in time – like a Man City or a Liverpool and play teams off the park," he told the club's official website.
"It’s not like that when you’re scrapping for your lives. We play when we can.
"Our performance against a Hartlepool team in form who have been doing extremely well, who play good football, I thought was resilient.
"They carried out what we asked them to carry out almost to the letter. Draws are no good to us now. We need to win."
FC Halifax Town welcome Ebbsfleet United to The Shay, live on BT Sport this Saturday from 5pm.
