Brown Boost For Guiseley

By Steve Whitney

After becoming a crowd favourite with his all-action style last season Guiseley AFC fans will be delighted that right-back Connor Brown has again signed for the club.

Brown, 25, started his career with home-town club Sheffield United as a junior in their academy before signing a senior contract in the summer of 2011.

After failing to make the breakthrough into the first-team he was released in the summer of 2012.

After leaving Bramall Lane Brown signed for Oldham Athletic making twenty-nine appearances in his first season.

He was given a new contract but his appearances in his second season were rare so he joined Carlisle United on loan.

He played nine games before returning to Oldham but in August 2016 his contract was mutually terminated and Brown joined Guiseley in the National League.

Brown enjoyed an excellent season with Guiseley in 2016/17., making a big impact.
