Bromley Boys Out To Bounce Back

By David Richardson

Bromley are hoping to bounce back from their 5-1 defeat against Dagenham and Redbridge at home to Sutton United today in 'El Plastico'.

The Ravens unbeaten run came to an end on Saturday at the hands of a strong Dagenham side and now they go up against another club, who have started well.

Sutton are the visitors to Hayes Lane, and they'll have no problems in adapting to Bromley's newly installed 3G pitch having spent the last year playing on one themselves.

Bromley boss Neil Smith knows his side fell below expectations on Saturday and doesn't want to lose again today.

"I do apologise for the supporters, they're been brilliant, and that wasn't us," he said. "That was a collective group of men that didn't perform to what we've been setting our standards at. It's hard to take, very disappointing, but we've got to move on quickly and make sure we learn from it.

"We were in yesterday and looked at all the goals against to make sure it doesn't happen again. We're playing against a very good Sutton side at the moment so it'll be another tough game.

"We've got to make sure that we stick together as a group. We've had a fantastic start to the season and we have to make sure we don't lose two on the trot."
