It’s been a chaotic couple of days for the pre-season National League South title favourites.
On Saturday they were picked apart 4-0 at home to promotion rivals Woking.
Then on Boxing Day they went down to a heavy 5-1 defeat at Essex foes Chelmsford City.
They are now down in fifth, seven points off leaders Torquay United but Brennan refuses to wave the white flag.
“It’s easy for people to just throw the towel in, but I’m not going to throw the towel in,” he told the Basildon Standard.
“We have been really poor defensively and conceding five just a few days after letting in four is not good enough.
“We need to make sure that we recruit the right players in the coming weeks, but the good thing with this business is that we have the opportunity to bounce back at St Albans City on Saturday.
“I will be up all night, probably won’t sleep and will do what I have to do to make sure we keep improving.”
