Breaking News: Barrow And Manager Paul Cox Part Company

Paul Cox has become the latest manager to leave his club after resigning as Barrow's boss.

He is the fourth manager across the three National League divisions to go after the club announcement a few moments ago.

He follow's Torquay's Kevin Nicholson, Hungerford manager Bobby Wilkinson and Wealdstone's long serving Gordon Bartlett to have left their post inside the season's first three weeks.

A Bluebirds statement confirmed the ex-Mansfield manager will be leaving Holker Street.

Barrow play Maidenhead United at home this weekend and Paul Ogden and Michael Moore will take charge of the team for that game and until the club appoint a new boss.

"Barrow AFC and Paul Cox have mutually agreed to his resignation from his role as First Team Manager, effective
immediately," read a club statement this afternoon.

"It was decided that this was in the best interests of both parties. Barrow AFC is grateful to Paul Cox for his work the
past two years in taking the club forward.

"His efforts have made the club more professional both on and off the pitch. We wish him the best of luck in the next step of his career.

"Paul Ogden will stay in his role as Head of Football Operations and Michael Moore will be interim manager until further notice.

"There will be no further statement on this matter."
