Brakes Must Come Up With Some Answers

Leamington’s manager Paul Holleran has given an honest interview and suggested everyone at the club is falling short of what’s needed as he but told fans they’re committed to turning fortunes around.

It’s not been the start they wanted to life in the Vanarama National League North, that’s for sure.

The Brakes have lost their last six matches and on Monday the club lost 3-0 at home to AFC Telford United.

Emotional manager Holleran told Leamington’s YouTube channel that stands must be increased if they are going to remain in the league for more than one season.

“We have got to take stock and have a look at what we’re doing because it isn’t working,” he said. “I firmly believe we can compete in this division but at the moment we’re not.

“We haven’t come up with the answers to the questions people have asked of us. We’re falling short, to be honest. All of us – me the staff and the players.

“We wanted to put in a performance that was more about us and what we’re all about. We started the game brightly, the best we have started so far but we could take it forward.

“But yet again we’ve made mistakes and yet again we’ve been punished. Only certain teams in this division can chase games at 2-0 down. We faded.”
