The game ended 2-2 after Town raced into a two goal lead at the Ironmongery Direct Stadium.
They couldn’t hold on as Dartford battled back in the Vanarama National League South fixture and Quinton thinks the Darts are one of the best teams in the league this season.
It was a role reversal from the first game of the season against Eastbourne when, 2-0 down, Braintree powered back to win the game.
The manager said: “It’s difficult to take as you would expect but that’s football and we move on.
“We played some incredible football before they got their goal and on another day we would have been clear.
“But we have to settle for a point which on the face of it against a side who will be up there isn’t the end of the world. They’re a good side and rightly one of the favourites to win the league.
“They threw everything at us including the kitchen sink and got what they’ll see as their reward for that.
“But it’s a good start for us overall in two really difficult games. We have to take what happened and learn from it, which we will.
“The players are a little down and they see it as two points lost but in football you get dealt little blows like this, you just need to react.
“The great thing about our game is that there’s always a chance to put the record straight just around the corner.”
