This game will be a fortnight after Avenue lost 1-0 against North Ferriby United, writes Tom Feaheny.
For a side going for a play-off place, Avenue were defeated by a team who gained just their second win of the entire season so far.
While Bower knows that their key to success is consistency, they now need to prove that in facing another team fighting to stay up.
“The reaction is key, we face a team and need to show what we are all about," Bower said.
"I know this group is good enough and we need to get back to that way of playing."
When reflecting on that loss to North Ferriby United, Bower summed it by saying.
“In the 18 months I have been there, that is the worst we have played.
“There were elements of the game lacking, we put in a good performance against Salford, that was the opposite."
Bower feels despite the result, his side have shown they can start a new run of results.
“We have played well against a lot of the teams, we now need to do that again and see what happens elsewhere."
