Bower Calls For A More Clinical Avenue

Bradford Park Avenue boss Mark Bower says his side could be further up the league if they had taken more of their chances.

Avenue in recent games have faced the first and second sides in the Vanarama National League North and next take on third-placed Blyth Spartans, writes Tom Feaheny.

“It is just a case of needing to be a bit more clinical, we have got in good areas and just not been able to get the goals from it,” Bower said.

“We have played well against good sides, but it is frustrating to have not got anything out of this.

“Again with Salford City I thought we had chances probably a few more than them in terms of clear cut ones.

“In the first-half we should have got a goal more, if we had it could have been a different story.”
