Bower Buoyant As Park Avenue Steamroller Southport

Manager Mark Bower hailed his Bradford Park Avenue side as this season’s surprise package continue to impress.

Their 4-0 win at Southport was their fifth win in six National League North matches.

Bower was thrilled with the win against a side playing in Non-League’s top tier last season.

"The lads definitely deserved the win today,” Bower told the the club’s twitter.

"It was important to come back after last week, and we cut the errors of that game out today.

"It was a fantastic clean sheet, and we're all pleased for Drenchy after last week.

“We were clinical when the chances game today, and scoring first is really important to us considering how we play."

Bower added: “It’s easy to be disappointed when you lose like we did last week, but at the end of the day we've won five of our last six.”

Bradford are now up to fifth and next face a double header with Curzon Ashton.
