Boston Manager Murray: Blame Me, Don't Blame The Players

The 1-1 draw at York Street against the 9th tier Midland Leaguers drew criticism from the terraces as Vanarama National League North United couldn't spark their season.

Murray, though, told supporters to aim their annoyance in his direction.

"I think I'm past frustration now. It's been like that for a while. It was a game we should have had out of sight," said Murray.

"If people want to take their frustration out, do it on me. The players need the fans' backing and support to turn this around.

"We will turn it around, I know that. We are currently going through a challenging time but we will come out the other end.

"If you look at the results if the cup some big clubs have been knocked out and there has been some shock results. We aren't a shock result as we are still in the competition."

Murray said Saturday summed up with the club are at the moment.

"It was a performance of where we are the season really," he added. "We lacked energy and we didn't convert the chances we had.

"We are disappointed that we didn't win the game, we did enough to but we are still in the hat and we go again in the replay."
