Speaking about his reasoning to join, Willis revealed that manager Adam Murray helped sell the club to him, with the aims that have been set.
"After sitting down and talking with the manager at length, it was clear he had the same ideas and ambitions as me. It's a really big club that is ambitious and has a great fan base behind it.
"Obviously promotion is the main aim that has been made clear to me, and if I can play my part in trying our best to achieve that, then that will be brilliant. But in the short term, we just have to take each game as it comes and pick up as many points as possible - hopefully with plenty of clean sheets along the way."
The Pilgrims started their pre-season training campaign two weekends ago and the young keeper said he knows the benefits of what a successful few weeks can bring.
"We all know that pre-season is always tough, the first few days in particular. But it's great to get back in to it and meet the new lads. There is a good spirit amongst the players already, and that gets you through the hard work."
Wills alongside playing is also a coach at the Sheffield United Academy, he spoke about how important his roles with the club and a new football academy he has joined.
"I have already been coaching for three years now, alongside football. Even when I was still full time at Sheffield United, I was helping out in the academy with the goalkeepers. It's something I enjoy, and it means i'm lucky in respect of keeping all my working commitments football based."
"It is thoroughly enjoyable & rewarding. The Sheff Football Academy is something setup by friends I have in football, who have asked me to put on some goalkeeping sessions - which I'm looking forward to delivering."
