Boss Bradbury Thrilled With Havant's Away Form

Lee Bradbury is pleased with how solid his Havant and Waterlooville team have become away from home.

The Hawks beat Hampton and Richmond with a late winner from Wes Fogden at The Beveree Stadium. The 1-0 was, the manager said, “very hard earned”.

Havant have now won three times away from Westleigh Park and while Bradbury wants his team to be better in front of their own fans he is happy with progress.

“I think the formation we played maybe took Hampton by surprise a bit,” Bradbury said after the game.

“We were good overall. We were solid and we did what we needed to do. Away in this league you have to do that.

“Hampton are a strong side, they showed that last season, but I felt we were good value for it. We hit the post and the bar and Matt Tubbs has missed a chance he’d never miss again!

“But overall I’m happy. We have not let in a goal away from home yet and we have won three which is really good.

“We’re learning and getting better. You have got to be delighted when you win away from home because everyone knows it is not easy to come away from home and get three points.”
