Boss Bower Blows A Fuse As Park Avenue Exit The FA Trophy

Bradford Park Avenue manager Mark Bower wants his players to feel the pain of losing to lower league opposition in the FA Trophy last night.

PA miss out on a trip to Leamington in the first round after the National League North side lost 2-1 to Stourbridge.

It was a night to forget for Avenue and their manager was unhappy with the way they ended their cup chances for another year.

“We deserved to lose,” he said following the loss to the Glassboys in last night’s replay. “It was a disappointing performance.

“I hope this hurts us and refocuses a few minds because it needs to going into the next few league games.

“We've got to show we're better than what we've shown at Alfreton Town. I was looking for a reaction after Brackley."

“We're punching above our weight in the league but it's the manner of the defeat that is not good enough."
