Boro Boss Tommy Still Can't Fathom Miss Chances!

Nuneaton manager Tommy Wright is at a loss as to how his team didn't manage to get one over promotion rivals Alfreton Town this afternoon.

In a thrilled game, Brad Gascogine secured a point for Boro after the Reds have battled back from going an early goal behind to lead 2-1.

Wright says the 2-2 draw was a great advert for the Vanarama National League North but can't get his head around how they didn't celebrate victory.

Wright said: "I’ve no idea how we’ve not won that.

“The lads are banging their heads off the wall, but I can have no complaints about the performance.

“To create that many chances in a game, nine times out of ten you will win.

Wright told the club's official website: "We’ve got to look at it as two points dropped, but then it could have swung the other way towards the end when they had a chance.

“It’s when we stop creating so many chances that we have to be concerned; we’re playing some great stuff at the moment and it is a joy to watch.

“That’s our philosophy and we’ll continue to do it. Movement and pace kills teams at this level and we have that in abundance."

But there was so bad news to report for the Liberty Way manager.

He added: “Unfortunately it looks like Alex [Henshall] will be out for a few weeks. He joins a growing injury list which contains players who were regulars last season when we were doing well."
