Bolder's Delight As First Win As Villagers Boss Is Secured

North Ferriby United boss Chris Bolder says his players got what they deserved after picking up a 1-0 win at Bradford Park Avenue.

It has been quite the wait for the side who last gained victory all the way back in August when they beat Blyth Spartans, writes Tom Feaheny.

An early goal by Lewis Collins on his debut from Mansfield Town, guided the team to the win.

“This is a really proud feeling for me and all the lads, I’m delighted,” Bolder said.

“It has been a wait, you look at the big changes we have made and finally we have got that win, I’m thrilled.

“We have young lads who have come up the leagues and this experience is vital for them.

“They all leave with a smile on their face and that is what I am after it is as simple as that.”

While they are still 15 points off safety, Bolder says they are enjoying the games and for him that is what matters.

"We want to be able to build this squad up and games like this one will help, no matter what league we are in next season, we want to get the foundations in place first."
