But the Wealdstone manager sees no reason why they can’t halt Woking in their tracks.
It’s a four point return for the Stones so far while Alan Dowson’s men have won three from three.
Wilkinson wants to be judged after Christmas and feels the division is better for having clubs like Woking in it.
They may have gone down 1-0 to Billericay on Saturday, pictured, but there is so much more to come says the manager.
“It’s certainly a bigger and better league this year and there’s a lot to like about it,” he said.
“Every game is a big one and it is clubs like Woking who you want to test yourself against.
“They’ve started very well and after all the changes there I think it’s more than what they could have hoped for.
“Alan’s one of the best in the business and he was always the man to get them going. He tells it like it is and for a club like Woking that’s what the fans want to hear.”
He added: “They are one of the sides looking to win it I would imagine and you can see why.
“But we’ll try and go toe-to-toe with them and it should be a good game to watch.”
