Blyth Boss Says Derby Win Shows Progression Of Spartans

Blyth Spartans boss Alun Armstrong says his sides 3-1 comeback win against Darlington shows the club are in a position to aim for the next level.

Blyth equalised early into the second-half and then scored twice more to get the three points that kept the side in third place in the Vanarama National League North, writes Tom Feaheny.

"I thought the lads were a little bit nervous in the first-half, we did alright but in a game like this that isn't good enough," Armstrong told the Blyth Spartans official club website.

"Getting the goal lifted our tempo, it was a really good second half performance, the squad is outstanding.

"We are playing football at such a good level, the aim is to go and get to that next level and I'm confident we can give it a real go."
