Bluebirds Keep Flying In National League South

Chippenham manager Mark Collier is delighted with the way the Southern League champions are settling in to the challenge of the Vanarama National League South.

The Bluebirds secured their third win in the new division last night - watch match highlights here.

Ending Gloucester City's wonderful four match winning, Town's players withstood the visitors clear confidence and triumphed 2-0.

The matter of the victory pleased Collier the most. It moved his club up to 13 in the league table and the boss claimed so far so good since promotion.

“The team shape was good and the discipline, defensively, was spot on and they didn’t really look too much of a threat,” said Collier to the Gazette and Herald.

“Nuno Felix has been out of the side and he has come back in and shown what he can do.

“David Pratt is claiming he got there first, we won’t take that away from him, and then it’s a great finish from Jake Andrews and we could have scored a couple more.

“That’s the one thing that has pleased me above all else, we have kept a clean sheet and Jared (Thompson) has had little to do.

“Overall I have got to say that it's a big three points for us.”
