Welling United have ended Danny Bloor’s time in charge following - hours after the club’s victory over Hemel Hempstead Town.
The National League South Wings have been unable to escape the bottom four and Saturday’s success was the club’s first three points since November.
The 53-year-old took control in June following his Eastbourne Borough departure but despite a good FA Trophy run and a 4-1 victory over leaders Yeovil, things haven't worked out.
Park View Road officials say the club’s search for Bloor’s replacement has already begun.
They said in a statement on Sunday morning: “Welling United can confirm that Danny Bloor has left the club with immediate effect after being relieved of his duties as first team manager.
“The club wishes to place on record its sincere gratitude for Danny and his team’s efforts this season.
“However, despite the win on Saturday, due to the team’s league position and recent league form being as it has been, the board have made the decision to change the management while there is still sufficient time in the season left for the required points to be obtained to, hopefully, secure National League South survival.
“The search for a new Manager is under way with a full announcement to follow in due course.”
