Bingham Is A Big Deal For Bromley As Ravens Get Another

Bromley boss Neil Smith thinks Gillingham midfielder Billy Bingham is a “fantastic” signing for the club.

The 28-year-old joins after his exit from the League One club, making it an impressive month for the National League Ravens.

Smith is determined to get the club challenging for promotion again next season and thinks Bingham will only strengthen his hand.

They have already signed Ebbsfleet’s Michael Cheek amongst others - and fans are hopeful of an exciting campaign.

Smith told the club website:“Billy’s a good friend of a couple of the players here and had heard good things about us.

“When the opportunity arose to speak to him it was a no brainer.

“He’s got the guile and the ability too, so it’s a fantastic signing for us.”

Bingham said: “I’ve been speaking to Neil for a couple of weeks now, and I’m really pleased to be here.

“It’s a nice set-up here and the manager is great. I can remember playing for Crystal Palace reserves here about ten years ago, and the place has clearly changed a fair bit!”
