Bignot Hoping To Bring In Reinforcements At Chester

By David Richardson

Marcus Bignot wants to add one or two players before their big clash against Barrow on Tuesday night.

The Blues were beaten 2-1 at home to Boreham Wood today, that has seen them slip to 22nd place.

Shaun Jeffers got the breakthrough on the half hour before Bruno Andrade netted his ninth goal of the season before half-time.

The home side rallied in the second half Nyal Bell pulled one back but it was too little too late for Bignot's side.

"It's clear to see that one or two [players] are lacking confidence and belief," he said.

"As a football club and management we're going to do all that we can to help those guys, in terms of hopefully bringing one or two players in to help this already talented group.

"The sooner we can move forward with that, the better.

"Our focus has got to be Tuesday in terms of putting in a performance that gets us a result. If we get a knock back like we did on the first goal that it doesn't effect us but clearly we could see that it did. We have to stay in games and be hard to beat."
