Bignot Demands An Instant Responce From Beleaguered Chester

By Sam Elliott

Chester manager Marcus Bignot knows an instant response is desperately needed if his side are to avoid relegation.

A 2-0 home defeat to Guiseley left the club with a difficult task at the bottom.

The Blues are eight points from safety and lost to be a big relegation rival in the Lions.

Lathaniel Rowe Turner’s red card in the first half didn’t help matters but the damage was already done before the Chester player was sent off.

“Clearly everyone is disappointed,” said Bignot after a dreadful day at the Deva Stadium.

“It’s the first time since we have arrived at the club that we’ve lost back to back matches.

“We’re showing signs of a fragile team at the moment. But when we had ten men we actually played better.

“Now it’s about us finding a way to restore belief as quickly as possible.

“We now need to find a way, any way, to win against Hartlepool United on Saturday. We need to get some confidence back into the group quickly.”
