Bignot Back In The Game As Barrow Add Him To Their Team

By Sam Elliott

Barrow have announced that Marcus Bignot has been added to the management team at Holker Street.

The former Solihull Moors boss, who parted company with Grimsby at the end of last season, will assist caretaker manager Micky Moore.

Bignot - who has worked with Moore at the Moors and at Grimsby - has been drafted in as the club look to improve their Vanarama National League position.

"We are delighted to welcome to our backroom team to assist interim manager Micky Moore," a Bluebirds statement confirmed.

"Following the departure of manager Paul Cox and first team coach Ben Marvin, we are delighted to welcome Marcus Bignot to our backroom team to assist interim manager Micky Moore.

"Marcus attended first team training this morning and will be on the touchline with Micky on Saturday.

"Micky has been working alone since the departure of Paul and Ben and asked the club for some support ahead of our next couple of games, as we host Boreham Wood on Saturday and head to Tranmere Rovers next weekend.
