“It’s a club that’s really close to my heart,” said Bignot, the club's new manager, after the Blues drew out the Harriers this afternoon.
“I played for Kidderminster and got my big move to Crewe on the back of that.
“I’m currently helping Kidderminster and their chairman, Colin Gordon, set up a youth academy in Solihull, so I’ve got some really strong links there so it’s a nice tie in that regard," he told the Chester Standard.
First things first and a game with Woking on Tuesday night.
Chester will be well rested following the frustration of Saturday's Vanarama National League match at Eastleigh.
Bignot managed to break the club's home curse in his first home match in charge and the manager is looking to make it two Deva Stadium wins in a row.
"The supporters were fantastic in my first game and they made me feel really welcome," he said.
"We need to turn the place into the fortress it once was."
