Bignot Admits His Side Deserved Cup Exit

By Tom Feaheny

Chester were knocked out of the competition by Kidderminster Harriers and Marcus Bignot had no complaints after the 2-0 loss.

The defeat against the side who are league below, was due to goals scored by Emmanuel Sonupe and Joe Ironside, writes Tom Feaheny.

"I'm hugely disappointed with the result and the manner of the loss, there is a lot of anger, we have to make sure this was a blip," Bignot said to the club's website..

"We made it a football game, they were better on the ball than us, we had to compete better and we didn't."

"Myself and the coaching staff offer our apologies, we have a house game we have organised on Tuesday, there will be a lot of hard work in the next week."
