Big Night On Both Fronts With League And FA Cup Action

By Sam Elliott

There’s a big bundle of National League matches coming on Tuesday night - and a huge FA Cup game.

Wrexham are still standing and head to Sheffield United hoping to set up a dream tie at home to Harry Kane’s Tottenham.

Nearly 5,000 Dragons fans head to the Steel City and manager Phil Parkinson said: “We have to pick the team that’s right for the game and we’re going to give it a good go.

“We’ve got nothing to lose, we really haven’t. We’ll take 4,700 fans there and we’ll go there to make it as difficult as possible for them but we won’t do it by sitting back. We’ll go on the front foot.”

Chesterfield and Woking fans could be forgiven for thinking it’s third place at best with their form dipping and Notts County and Wrexham relentlessly winning. They meet tonight in Derbyshire.

Barnet have won eight of their last ten league matches and they head to an FC Halifax Town team on a high themselves after their win at Oldham Athletic.

Latics boss David Unsworth really needs a result after that game and it’s a big night at home to Dagenham & Redbridge.

Southend United go to Maidenhead United sitting in the top seven.

Both York City and Solihull Moors won’t be happy with their season to date but tonight’s meeting offers the three-points that could kick-start a run.

All National division games are available to be streamed on National League TV this evening - with a Match Pass available for £9.50 here.

There’s National League South action too and it’s a huge night down the bottom.

Weymouth will feel they stay up now and Bobby Wilkinson is demanding a third win in a row at home to Concord Rangers.

Hampton are outside the bottom four on goal difference and play at Bath City.

Hungerford Town have to start winning and could be cut off if they lose at home to St Albans City, while Cheshunt host Welling United.

King’s Lynn Town will return to the top of the National League North if they win at in-form Spennymoor Town.

Two of the current bottom four clash in a huge game as AFC Telford United play Farsley Celtic.

A win over Chorley won’t quite take Blyth Spartans out of the relegation zone but it will push them closer to salvation.

Alfreton Town could find themselves in the play-offs if they beat Curzon Ashton while Hereford start life without Josh Gowling at home to Southport.
