Big Double Deal For Chester's New Management Duo

Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley continue to re-shape Chester as the club prepare for their National League North return.

The duo have today made two new signings - players they see as “winners”.

Goalkeeper Grant Shenton has signed for the Blues following the 27-year-old’s departure from Trafford.

Defender Steven Howson, 32, also signs up having played under the management team at Salford City.

Joint boss Johnson took to twitter to express his delight about the double deal.

“They are two signings we felt were imperative with the ethos we want to bring to Chester,” said the in-coming boss.

“They are experienced and determined and they see things the same way as we do - a great opportunity to help change the fortunes of a huge club!”
