Big Broadcast News For Our Sides Still Standing In FA Cup

By Sam Elliott

There’s more good news for our final two clubs left standing in the FA Cup.

Maidstone United’s fourth round tie at Ipswich Town has been selected for live coverage later this month.

Their game with the Championship high fliers will be shown on BBC1 on Saturday January 27, kick-off 12.30pm - and in a further boost, the National League South Stones will earn a bumper broadcast fee of £110,000.

It’s not like Eastleigh needed an extra incentive to beat Newport County on Tuesday.

Not only will they face Manchester United at home if they do, but the winners’ match will also be live on the box.

The Spitfires game has also been picked and will be on Sunday January 28 at 4.30pm, also on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport.
