The Bees host away day specialists Aldershot Town tonight with a new striker in their ranks.
Darren Currie worked overtime to lure Pavey, 23, from Dover Athletic on Monday and how the manager would love to see instant reward for his hard work.
Barnet will move into the play-off places with even a point this evening at the Hive while Aldershot know victory will see them rise to 13th.
Danny Searle’s side have won three times on the road already, seeing off Stockport County on Saturday after leaving leaders Woking and Ebbsfleet with three points in their back pocket.
Currie told the club’s website how pleased he was to get England C striker Pavey on board.
He said: "He's one that I've kept my eye on over the off-season. I didn't think we originally had a chance of getting him but we've got him!
"He's gained experience, he's gone out and got goals and played lots of games. He's a real presence for us which is something I've been after. He's a good size, he's a good age and he was really keen to come and join.”
Searle wants Aldershot to play with the same confidence that they did at Stockport.
He said: “We were superb in the first half - if we would have scored three or four few could have questioned that.
“The second half we were resilient and showed a lot of important aspects to our game.
“Now we want to take that into Tuesday night and see if we can push ourselves further up the table.”
There is one game in the National League North tonight.
New Hereford manager Russell Slade will be determined to get a win on the board but they won't have it all their own way against a Gateshead side who know a win will take them into a play-off place.
